Time Spent....

I have always LOOOVED this stamp set. I am borrowing it from a friend and have just been stamping my guts out with it.

How are YOU fairing this week? Are you stampin??

Bunny Butts!!!

I really really like how this card turned out. The bunny is from an Easter Stampin Up! set. I am sorry--dont know the name of it. But its a stamp that says {hand stamped} on it. I just colored the stamp and only used the bunny part of it. I loooove how coloring each one of them a different color kind of made them look like little Easter eggs sitting out there. I hand drew the grass on each one and the Happy Easter is from a dollar set. TOO MUCH FUN!

Makes me very eager for summer. Tho, they are predicting we are gonna get hammered with snow again tonight, so I guess we will have to wait awhile longer. I went out and cut some of my dafodils tonight cause I knew that after the snow fall, they wouldnt be looking so pretty. At least we can get a few more days of their gorgeousness (is that even a word?) inside.

We are now on round 2 of strep throat here. Hannah Banana has it AGAIN! Can you believe it? I thought we were set free...made it 5 days and then BOTH kids came home sick. Heather just had issues with her diabetes, but she seems to be leveling out and feeling better. And Hannah after only a day of antibiotics is up playing like nothing ever happened. AMAZING how resiliant kids are.

Hope that you and YOUR family are avoiding all of the sickness. Be blessed!

I am honored!

"These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbon's of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these kind writers. When you pass the award along to eight bloggers, please include these guidelines."

Isnt that the sweetest thing??? My friend LORI gave this to me awhile back. I think she was waiting to see if I even READ her blog cause she never told me!! But, even tho I am way behind I am still honored to be named and also of course to be her FRIEND!

So now, eight people. Gosh! This is tough as I have soooo many dear friends with awesome blogs! I can narrow it down to 9, will that work?? I pick Micki, Deedee, Sandy, Alicia, Marjori, Michele Y, Jeanna, Chris & Karen!! All these girls are members of my favoritest online group. They are uber inspiring and forever in my heart!

Look!! I am always fascinated by the word verification on peoples' site. Some of them dont even resemble a word. Some say something absolutely rediculous like frank data or something like that. But LOOK! Look at what I got today!

I think the Lord is talkin to me....what do YOU think??????

I have a new love...DRAGONS!

I am completely in love with dragons right now. Not the ugly kind...but the cute kind like this one. When my dear friend Debi sent me this image I HAD to find out where she got it and get one for myself. Its a coloring book image from on line! Is that not the COOLEST? And she was such a doll and found me the link so now I have him for my very own!! And I am SURE that I will WEAR HIM OUT!

He says: Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup!

Thank you for all of the many suggestions that you sent me for English recipes. I went with FAIRY CAKES and PRINCESS COOKIES. My fairy cakes didnt puff up like they were supposed to so I couldnt assemble them as they should have been, but I thought they were really good and a recipe I will make again for sure. They LOOK like a cupcake, but they are very tart lemon and are a little more dense than the normal American cupcake.

The Princess Cookies ALSO were assembled a little bit differently than they were sposed to be. But they were delicious. The Princess cakes were a orange flavor. Resembling the texture of a wedding cookie. They were really really good.

Our trip TO this Girl Scout thing turned out to be more eventful than I would have cared for...but now that I look back the morning really WAS funny. Of course, I am the worlds BIGGEST procrastinator, so I save my baking for the morning of the shindig. I was running around trying to get kids clean and dressed and ready, while trying these recipes for the first time. (THANK GOD! THEY WENT WELL) But the little silver balls that I put on the cakes tipped over and bounced for miles. I am serious! I think I even found some in the driveway! My dog later ate every single one of them and to my surprise didnt land me in the ER that night. Cause they are SOOO not FDA approved. Anyways. So I had my desserts...they were assembled BEAUTIFULLY! They looked great. The girls both looked great. I was dressed and looked nice. We go to the church that I thought was holding the THINKING DAY event. NOPE! Not there! Now mind you---I find this out AFTER I get everyone out of the car...the desserts and all. The wind was ferocious so it blew the plastic right off of one of the trays (caught it before it hit the ground (praise God again!). The church knows NOTHING of this event so I ask to borrow the phone book. (since, like a retard, I did not have anyones phone number) Anyways I called the Girl Scout office. To which the lady (whom I might add, was not real nice) knew NOTHING about our event and talked to me like I was a retard for even THINKING she would know something. ~sigh~ OK...so we drive around Lenoir City for awhile. I had remembered that it was on Church Street, so I called my husband who was at work to tell me where Church Street was. He didnt have a clue. GREEAAAAT! So as a last resort I went to the public library to get on the computer and look up my email that told me EXACTLY where this thing was. I go in...sign in and as I am doing so the mean librarian told me in her gruff voice that I had FIVE MINUTES before they turned off the computers. I said..no problem, I just have to look up an email real fast. OK....so now mind you....this is a 3 minute period of time, this woman told me to get off the computer again two more times. I got the email....and *GASP* I was in the wrong TOWN!!!!!!!!! 20 miles away and the only way to get to the RIGHT town was a 2 lane highway!! OMG! So I storm out of the library (completely forgetting to sign myself out of computer use --- I am sure I will receive a sitation in the mail or something).
By this time we are LATE to the thing (yes, it has been an hour already). So we get back in the car (that smells like a citrus drink from the desserts, that have now been jostled all around and dont look quite as pretty) and fly back to Kingston, where I knew EXACTLY the location. It was sooo frustrating to get there late and I was in near tears. But it went well. We got to try food from other countries, make some crafts and pick up some momentos. It went great---but WHEW! I am glad its in the history books now!
Things are ok today. Hannah is home sick again. ~sigh~ I dont know if we are EVER gonna kick this thing!
Be blessed!

Good MORNING!!

Its sposed to rain cats and dogs today. But its still a glorious day none the less!! I soooo luv my life. God is so good to us and we are so blessed. How bout you....how much are you thankful for this morning??

Anyways...here is my submission this week for the House Mouse Monday Challenge. I am sad to say that I didnt make the design team, but those that did, do amazing work and I am soooo excited to see what the come up with in the next few months!

This week's challenge is a sketch. OHHHHH SO FUN!
Again, my photography skills are NOT great today....but its kinda hard to take pics of sqare cards. Hard to get zoomed in on it without washing it out. OK, maybe not hard for SOME people, but for me--its a challenge.

HM & Friends

Go check it out and play for yourself!!! Simon Says Stamp is one of the sponsors this week. You all KNOW how fabulous THEY are!!!

Today I am doing some much needed research. Hannah's Girl Scouts are having a THINKING DAY on Saturday, where they are learning about different countries. Well our country is England. So I gotta find me a good English recipe and try it out. I need to bake something fabulous to take with us. Hmmm.....I wonder--do any of YOU have any ideas??

Sundae Shoes!

Not such a fabulous photo, but I was hurrying this morning to get as many pics taken as possible before my camera died. Did you know that you like have to CHARGE your battery to keep it in working order? Geesh! Youd think Id KNOW this, considering my camera is like an appendage MOST of the time. These images are soooo cute. My dear Mommy sent them to me and I couldnt wait to color them! Oh yeah...this is also using last weeks Mojo Sketch.
Photobucket

HA! I sneaked one in on ya!

I have been so bad at blogging lately that I thought Id do a little mini flood of posts today. Isnt it fun?? I am a huge lurker over at KWERNERDESIGN.COM and decided this week to participate in her color challenge. She is an uber awesome photographer and she catches some great shots.

This is the card I made for my friend Jeanine (Granny), that I am taking her today. Again, this is one of my new WhipperSnapperDesigns images! I just LOOOOOVE them!!! Since the image is so big its kinda hard to do much of a design with the card, but I thought it was cute just the same. And with an image as fabulous as this--who needs design???

So, are you having an OUTRAGEOUS day??????

Back in the Saddle again!!

I finally was able to get inky again yesterday. My mojo just hasnt been working lately and my desire to craft kinda has been sitting idle. But last night I broke out my stuff and am THRILLED!
So this is the Mojo Monday Sketch this week. FUN! FUN!

And do you know what made it even more fun?? I got my new WhipperSnapperDesigns stamps in!!! I just LUUUUUUUUUUUUV this bunny!!! Dont ya just wanta pick him up and squeeze him?

So, we are back in the swing of things with the four day weekend behind us. I truly enjoyed having my family home and being able to spend time with them and have fun...but I really like SCHEDULES and I like things to be back on track.

Today I am off to visit my friend Jeanine. She is now home from the hospital so I am excited to go and visit with her!!

I hope that YOU are doing well today and that you are blessed! I know that I AM cause I have YOU for friends!!!

Twelve Random Things about the Twelveth!

I have been needing to break back into the blogging hemasphere for some time now. With everything that has been happening it just always seems to get bumped down to the bottom of the day's to-dos and before I know--bumped off the day all together.

I am happy to report we are all on the mend!! Having Strep and the Flu at the same time Sux! There has been NOTHING cool about the past week or so. Poor little Hannah FINALLY got in a full day of school today. She has had a cough that would put a 70 year old smoker to shame.

Anyways. For quite some time I have wanted to do this 12 on the 12th thing but always fergot to do it! Or Id remember it on the 13th. *LOL* Not quite as effective then. So what ya do--is ya pick 12 random things from your day and post about them. They can be good things or bad things or whatever.

So anyways. For me...my morning started out with reading.

And of course I cant help but stare at these gorgeous tulips I got the other day. Tulips are my ALL TIME FAVORITE flower. I soooo love this time of year because its almost time for them.

I got to go out on a wonderful lunch date with my darling husband. Sorry--no pics of this. First he doesnt like when I take his picture and flash it all over the world and second, I totally forgot! We went to this little Itallian place for lunch. It was soooooooooooooo good. And it was just he and I--that was the bestest part.

Then the girls came home and I got to see all of the Valentine Loot that Hannah got today at her class party. She was soooo worried that she was going to be sick right through the celebrations but she made it!! They find such joy in those little cards.

Next, I got to say good bye to the big ole tree that fell in our yard yesterday from the storms. This picture sooo does not do it justice. The tree if freakin huge!! I have to post a praise report to go here tho. See our house? See our other rather large trees? See how God nicely laid this big ole mongo branch down, so that it didnt hurt the house and it didnt hurt the other trees?? Its inches from windows. It hit the house and I guess bounced off. Not even a dent in the roof. AMAZING!

My afternoon ritual as of late has been my cup of hotchocolate with just a dash of Godiva Chocolate. I DONT drink enough to call myself a drinker...ok I cant even call myself a KIND of drinker. I am a wuss. I have wine coolers that are aging in my fridge and I have no doubt that one of those would surely put me under the table. But I have grown accustomed to my little brew every afternoon. Its amazingly chocolatey!

This past week I am having the hardest time sleeping. Anyone who KNOWS me knows that this is VERY unusual for me. Usually I can sleep on a dime anywhere at any time. But lately I have done a LOT of ceiling staring. When I get tired I generally make some really dumb choices. One of the first logics to go is usually food. OK...so I had a fabulous lunch meal full of carbs and what did I decide on for dinner? How bout some fresh baked biscuits, some link sausage and some scrambled eggs--yes, with cheese. NOT very diet friendly, but ohhhhh on the top of the list for comfort! No, my photography skills are nothing to be compared to IHop but, trust me...the taste was way on up there!

There are many things in my day that I cant / wont take a pic of for you. Like my laundry that seems to grow in the dark. I wonder---if I leave the light on in the Utility Room will that make it stop?? Theres my wonderful kids running around playing together. Yes, I COULD take a pic of them, but they generally freak out if I start coming at them with the camera and that changes the whole atmosphere of their giggles. And then there is YOU my bloggy friends. Those of you who have stuck by me in my chaotic life and still love me! Thats only 10--but oh well!
How bout you? Can you do the 12 thing too?

Ive been sick

Hey girls. I know it just looks like another hiatus from the blogging world from me, but this time I really do have a good excuse. I got the flu. Do you know whats worse than the flu tho? The test that they do to determine that you HAVE to flu!! You know the swabby things they use to test you for strep? They shove 2 of those up your nose. Not just for a little tickle, I am talking all the way up to your brain. Its a pain I have never experienced and dont ever care to again.

Anyways. so 4 days in bed. Barely having enough energy to hold the remote to the tv up let alone anything else. NOT my idea of fun.

Today I am up and moving. Only for the sheer fact that Hannah (my youngest) is spiking a fever of about 101 and has been complaining of a sore throat and stomach ache. So I have an appt for her today. I figured I needed to get up and get moving so I can at least pretend like I know what I am sposed to be doing when I take her in. She did have her flu shot, so I am thinking this might be strep. GREAAAAAAAAAAAT!

On a happy note, its sposed to be near 70 here today so all the windows are flying open and I am lysoling every thing that even remotely looks like it could hold a germ. My laundry is stacked to the sky, the kitchen looks like a bunch of dwarfs have been living here and well I wont share the gorey details with everything else, but lets just say---theres a reason why moms arent sposed to get sick. It definitely has NO PAY OFF!!!

I will be posting again soon. Promise!
