Hot Chocolate

Today is a hot cocoa kind of day. Its raining and colder. I am not complaining at all, as we need the rain so desperately. But boy it sure does make one sleepy. Dont you just love these mouses?? I love House Mouse stamps. I looove coloring them!

My week has been a doozy. Yesterday was dentist day....ugh! The fact that I am more than half way through the reconstruction consoles me for a half of a second. But it sure is awful to go through. Yesterdays scheduled appt was for 2 1/2 hours. I was there double that. I am sore today but hanging in there. Are you surprised to hear that I am taking a break from the whole dental thing for awhile??

It looks like we will have a house full of girls on Friday. We are sooo excited for Heathers party! I of course am running like a chicken trying to make sure everything is just perfect for it. I hope that it doesnt rain on them.

All in all...everything is good here. We are still car shopping. The dealership that had the van that we were looking at didnt seem too willing to deal so we walked away. I reaallly liked that car. But I know that there is something better out there. Maybe the Lord is still trying to remind me that I am sooooo not a mini-van person. Who knows. For now...I have my Pacifica. It has pretty new tires on it and it still gets me where I need to go. So all is well.

In shopping for a car I am reminded by this email the other day, I couldnt wait to share it with you all.

HOT CHOCOLATE

A group of graduates, well established in their careers, were talking at a reunion and decided to go visit their old university professor, now retired.

During their visit, the conversation turned to complaints about stress in their work and lives.

Offering his guests hot chocolate, the professor went into the kitchen and returned with a large pot of hot chocolate and an assortment of cups - porcelain, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite - telling them to help themselves to the hot chocolate.

When they all had a cup of hot chocolate in hand, the professor said: 'Notice that all the nice looking, expensive cups were taken, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress. The cup that you're drinking from adds nothing to the quality of the hot chocolate. In most cases it is just more expensive and in some cases even hides what we drink. What all of you really wanted was hot chocolate, not the cup; but you consciously went for the best cups... And then you began eyeing each other's cups.

Now consider this: Life is the hot chocolate; your job, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain life. The cup you have does not define, nor change the quality of life you have. Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the hot chocolate God has provided us.

God makes the hot chocolate, man chooses the cups. The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything that they have. Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly. And enjoy your hot chocolate.

OH Becky, this is just the cutest thing! Gosh, how I would love to have some these cute little critters! Just adorable!

Hope you aren't in too much pain... I've had my share of dental appts lately and thankfully, I'm done! At least until the end of the year!

I drive a full size van :) We love it (except for the gas now!) It's great for hauling kids around! DD plays softball and there is always more kids than I actually gave birth to in it !LOL
