Christmas...a little early

I have been wanting to do something with this whole set for so long...so yesterday as I was watching my chick flick (27 dresses, CUTE MOVIE), I sat and colored and cut and colored and cut.
I sooo love the personalities that each one has.

It kind of looks funny in this pic, but I put the star up on acetate, so it really looks like its floating.

The angel was one of the hardest pieces. Cause even tho I looove this set, I was kind of frustrated at the fact that there were babies with each of the characters. Which is great, but when you are trying to put em all together--well, there is just ONE Jesus....too many babies!! So for this little beauty, one of the wooly little creatures got to fly!

I also robbed the cradle of the baby there too.
I am glad I finally put these babies into a card. Since it took me like 4 hours to do the card, I am guessing I wont be mass producing these.
So do you have big plans for the weekend? Its sposed to be torrential rains here so I am not sure how far we will go. But thankfully I am NOT having the garage sale. Tho the extra $$ would be much appreciated...the thought of all that work just wigs me out!
I still dont know about the job. ~sigh~ I had the interview this week and I really think it went well, but I wont know til next week if I receive a call back for the second interview. The waiting is absolutely KILLING me!
I hope that you enjoy your time with your peeps tho!
Be blessed!

My card for my love...

I have the most difficult time making cards for my husband. ESPECIALLY for something as special as our anniversary. I often times feel like he doesnt really care about my handmade cards. (Which, I know he does...)
So anyways....I cut out a black frame with the Sizzix rect frame...then
I sparatically stamped a swirl and embossed that AND the heart with Gelly Powders red embossing powder. (yum yum, CHERRIES!) I popped the frame up and also the heart. I have had this heart stamp for forever, and I still go back to it.
We are hoping to do a little celebrating this weekend, but most of all we are just really excited about our future. So much is happening with us. And though we really dont have any CLEAR answers right now....our life is pretty good. Each day is celebration. OK...sappy sappy sappy....but truthfully, I love EACH day that we are together...an anniversary is just another day!

A little of Copics

So in the certification class it put our minds at ease that we would indeed be able to COLOR our stamps and use them with the Copic markers. Something that I truly didnt think was possible. And the other day when I was playing, I decided to actually TRY the techniques. The first one here:

is more of a water color effect. You color the stamp. Then spray the stamp with the blending solution and stamp as normal. It is really a cool thing.

And the second one is a little bit more crisp. Tho very time consuming if you want to do multi layers. You color your stamp, but you spray your paper and then stamp as normal.

It was fun to break out of the shell just a bit. And since my mojo is seriously dehydrated it was simple and fast.

So guess what? TODAY is my 16th Wedding Anniversary! HOLY SMOKES!! Time flies when ya are havin fun huh? But he still says he loves me. And ya know what? I think I kinda still love him. Actually I know I do. Hes my best friend. Through the thick and thin. WOW! 16 years!

Some more good news. I got a call back on the phone interview that I have tomorrow! *SNOOPY DANCING ON THE COFFEE TABLE* I am soooooo excited I can almost pee my pants! So I have a real live in person interview tomorrow afternoon.

Did I mention I was having a garage sale this weekend? Wonder if I should be preparing for that? Hmmm...Ya think?!?!

Go and be blessed!

Flexie has been a blog-friend for a long time and she was very kind to give me this award awhile back. She is such a HUGE asset to the blogger world and I am so grateful that God put us together!! Thanks Flex!!!!

(OH YEAH...go check her out,
she is uber talented! ---> HERE)

And now...for the rules of this little award:

So for me...this is tough cause there are like a gojillian bloggers that I just love. But I will nominate the five like I am sposed to:

Just Vee...I met this lovely chick thru my Design Team call for Doodle Dragon. She is uber talented and sooo awesome. Her wit is amazing and she has to be one of the best internet surfers I have ever met!

Nancy....I know you all have heard me talk about this girl. She is a remarkable miracle. She is sooo inspirational and it is a true honor to be a friend of hers. A reknown author and survivor of a double lung transplant AND she has the most awesome name for her daughter; Hannah Marie...which my youngest daughter's name is Hannah and my oldest daughter's middle name is Marie. So if we werent friends BEFORE kids, I KNOW we are meant to be now. But I am quite glad to be both! :) Check out her blog and see how she is doing! Its amazing!

Melinda...is another one of my childhood friends. She and I would meet half way in the field between our houses to play. We spent countless hours dreaming and talking of Bert and Ernie and other fantastic childhood stuff. She has grown into a remarkable mom and an amazing witty writer.

Hope...is another one of the wonderful ladies I have met through blogland. She is sooo funny and she truly has a heart for Jesus. I wish there were more HOPES in the world. She is very inspiring, very witty and just a person that if given the chance,I KNOW I would love in real life.

Allison...we live just miles from each other. In fact she lives in a town that I used to live in. HA! How is THAT for coinsidence? Again, I have never met her, except through blog-land, but her love for family, for her furbabies and just for life is so inspiring. (I did link her blog here, but since shes had some issues she is a private blog.)

I could sit here and literally post 30 more peeps. But I wanted to award a few that I dont think I have mentioned before. Thanks Ladies for being a part of MY life, in one way or another! GOD BLESS!

*TADA!!!!* Did you all miss me!?!

Hello peeps! Thank you for all of your kind emails and comments questioning my whereabouts and well being. I assure you I am fine and I think MAYBE ready to rejoin the land of blogging again.
Truth be known, I just havent been that creative as of late. *gasp* I know---somebody call 911!! There is an emergency! But as my future becomes clearer and clearer to me, I am starting to feel the Mojo start to trickle once more.
Isn't this bee card sooo cute? I loooove this image. On the inside I wrote BEE HAPPY.

I made this one especially with my friend Lori in mind as she is a Pooh fanatic and of course I just think she is awesome!
We have been so busy here. Chasing our tail of course trying to decide whether to sell the house, or not sell the house. We have had a couple of lookers, but nothing in particular has panned out. So we wait still.
Then, last week I casually asked a couple of friends if they knew of anyone hiring and 2 positions literally fell into my lap. One isnt exactly what I was looking for and the other didnt pan out. :( So I pouted for a day and then started submitting my resume to anyplace that would take it. And well...the process continues. I completed one phone interview this morning with a very promising and large company in Knoxville. I am really excited about it, though trying not to get my hopes up too high. I truly feel like the Lord is telling me to return to the work force. And when you KNOW what is God's will it is a comforting feeling. I am anxious!

I soooo could not resist sharing this photo with you. This of course is Twink. She is sound asleep dead to the world. Usually its a crying fit and battle of the strongest when she and Hannah mix, but I think on this particular day she just gave up. I guess she figured it just wasnt worth it and maybe if she just laid there Hannah would become bored and eventually let her go. I dont think she counted on going to sleep during this well thought out plan though.
Our first day of school came a couple of weeks ago. Poor Heather's schedule has changed like 5 times, and yet again they changed it today. Hard to believe that shes in 8th grade tho.

Hannah Banana of course loves her class. Loves all of the boys and loves everything there is about the whole situation. She is reading wonderfully and is doing awesome. So far, things are fantastic with her!

There they go!! Hi Mr. Rex! Bye girls!!
So, my life has pretty much consisted of cleaning the house for a possible sale, preparing for a mongo garage sale which will be this week, getting the kids off to school, interviewing and preparing to go back to work and so on and so on.
But I am good. Again I thank each of you for your thoughts! You are all awesome!!! ((HUGS))
