Good Afternoon! Its Hump day! WOOHOO! Youll have to forgive the lighting on this card. At 630am my photo box isnt exactly ready to work...neither am I for that matter. Anyways, I looove this stamp. I have no idea why. I dont know what strikes me about it at all. But its fun.

All is well here. Just going thru the motions of everything. We have a showing on the house tomorrow night, school and work seems to be going well for everyone and I believe we have rounded the bend into fall. The weather has been soooo gorgeous here. Cool and crisp. SUNNY!
I love fall in East Tennessee.

Thank you note

Well gaaawwwleee!!! I got the handy dandy flu shot last week and it knocked me for a loop! WHEW!! I was out cold for 3 days. MISERABLY!! But I am feeling tons better now and enjoying the last day of my weekend. OK, pay no attention to the fact that I have laundry stacked to the ceiling and the house is less than perfect. It is a great day no doubt!!This is just a simple card I did using the top note. LOVE that die!

How are YOU friends? Are you enjoying your days to the fullest? Are you stopping to notice the green leaves? The restless animals? The turquois blue sky?

Fall is in the air!

Can you believe it? Today is the first OFFICIAL day of Fall. Geesh, where is the time going? Wasnt it just fourth of July? Or Easter? I love fall tho. It is sooo pretty here during the cooler months and when all the trees start changing. Things are good. Today we are doing flu shots at the office. And my arm is now numb. I mean really...they tell me its all in my head, but if I start walking like Quasemoto maybe they will believe me. Ya know, dragging one arm behind me.

Anyways...hey guess what? I have a secret!!! Its sunny outside! WOOHOOO!!!OOOOHOO!!!

OK, so go be blessed! Hug someones neck!

Singing in the rain!

OK, so at which point does RAIN become drizzle and overwhelmingly depressing? Hmm...maybe when it has been doing so for ohhh about a week. I mean really...its STILL raining! By the time my yard dries out enough to mow it, I am gonna have to hire someone to come bail it instead. I love these mouses. On the inside of the card it says YOUR FRIENDSHIP BRINGS MUSIC TO MY HEART.

All is well here, I didnt sleep worth a flying flip last night as Heather and I stayed up waaaay too late chatting and giggling. Hard to tell your teenager to go to bed when your fun conversations are so far and few between. We giggled like little girls. Unfortunately those giggles had to turned back to grunts by the time the alarm clock sounded this morning...and I am seriously draggin tail today....did I mention that it was raining too?? So if you add sleep deprivation, a dark and cloudy day with a Monday morning...you get a very sleepy Becky.

But life is good. I hope YOU are well too. Be blessed today!

Roostin Recipes

Another great use of the tins dont you think? This is a recipe box I made for my mom. Her kitchen is all done in roosters and chickens and I thought that she might like this too. I had so much fun pulling it all together.

I colored each of the cards, antiqued the dividers with copics.

Though the writing was all done on my computer.

It was really tough getting this out the door as Hannah had decided that she wanted it for herself. Now I have commited myself to making one just for her, though she says she wants hers to INCLUDE her favorite recipes.

Now on to business. I know that I have been missing in action for quite some time and I apologize. Things are CRAZY here!! First and foremost I went back to work! After interviewing at several places the good Lord landed me right back at Realty Executives. Where I started at 7 years ago. I am thrilled. I absolutely LOOOOVE my job and I truly love being back with my friends, the old ones and of course all the new ones too. The girls are adjusting to it well and I think Ronnie is too. Its been a rough couple of weeks for me trying to balance out my time, my to-do lists and of course to get over being t-totally exhausted every night when I get home. But I think things ARE working out. God is amazing and when he works, it is sooo fun seeing all of the things He can do.

Thank you for all of the prayers, kind words and thoughts regarding my step-dad. His accident, was a shock to me and seriously took me by surprise. Please also know that I meant absolutely NO disrespect to my mom as she is no longer with Joe. I know things there are a little less than warm and fuzzy and in no way did I mean to infect those wounds again. But I also wanted to express the love I have for the man that raised me and acted as my father for so many years. He was truly my best friend, teaching me to ride a horse, to drive a car, to do Algebra and many of the common things a parent teaches their child. He was my dad through the rough teenage years when it is most difficult to be a parent and he, along with my mom were great partners in making me whom I am today. I owe them both so much.

I have added a block to the side bar there to keep up with his updates. If you are interested in sharing a card with him please email me for his address, Id be happy to share that with you.
Go and be blessed!

Short post.

Hi friends.
I just recently learned that my stepdad was in a serious accident last week. This is the last photo I have with him, tho I have changed a lot, he hasnt changed any. Please join me in prayers for him and his wife, Donna as they have a long road ahead of them.
Here is a recap of what happened, taken directly from the family's website:
On Monday morning Joe went up to meet some of his buddies who had been camping. He set his foot in the stirrup at 6:30 am, and made the 20 mile trip to camp in time to have breakfast with his friends. They all rode out together on a trail with a steep decline. During the decent, the mule that Joe was riding got spooked and started bucking. We now know that hornets were the cause of spooking the mule, due to finding stings under the mule's belly. The mule bucked right off the trail down a very steep hill, and Joe remained on the mule gaining control of the situation during their rapid decent of about 300ft. As Joe regained some control over the situation the mule planted its front legs, and stopped abruptly causing Joe to fly over the mule's head and landing on his own face and having his body continue the motion over his own head. Joe remained conscious after his fall, and was able to talk to his buddies who reached him quickly. He could not move his hands or feet, and complained of immense pain in his neck and right shoulder area. Fortunately, there were many people out hiking, mt. biking and dirt biking in the area because they provided much help and assistance in saving Joe. A rescue helicopter was called and directed into the area, and these strangers helped each other carry Joe on a back board 500 ft. up the mountain side to a place that the helicopter could load him up. THANK YOU! to all these wonderful people.

Joe arrived at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls, ID around 3:30 pm. Due to his injuries his breathing was difficult, and that was stabilized as soon as he arrived. Tests were conducted, and it was determined that Joe's neck had been broken at C6-7, and that the C5-6 vertebrae were unaligned and that the spinal cord was damaged. The doctors reported that Joe's neck would need to be realigned and fused. Surgery was done that very night, and was completed around 9:30pm. During surgery the doctors successfully realigned the vertebrae and discovered that while the spinal cord was damaged, the damage was less severe than feared. Due to the swelling of the spinal cord, it is not entirely clear whether it has been severed or only bruised, but it is clear that it has been drastically stretched causing enough damage alone.

Joe opened his eyes that night just before 11pm while Donna and her daughter Mary were there. He recognized them both, and was able to blink once for yes in response to their questions. He was given more pain killers and sedatives to help him peacefully rest the remainder of the night.
Bottom line is Joe has been badly hurt, and will be paralyzed for some time. However, he is receiving treatment to help his healing at EIRMC, and will be transferred to the Craig Rehabilitation Center in Denver, Co very soon. There he and Donna will both be cared for and treated through the physical rehab. Family and friends remain hopeful that Joe will be able to walk and ride horses again - one day. The goal is lofty and huge, but everyone is willing to work very hard with Joe and Donna to make it a reality.
