PURSE--ONALLY

The moment I saw this post, I was drooling. How cool is that card!!! I looooove the way she did this and KNEW that I had to try it too. Cept I am not blessed with Nesties yet, so I just used my CM cutting system and I think it worked out great!!!

Her pictures of course look way more professional than mine. But I loved this card just the same. And I cant wait to change it up a bit and do it a different way.

PERTY!!

I am soooo loving my new set from GINA K. This retro set is SOOOO versatile. I love the fact that you can color it too. And you KNOW how much I loooves to color! Gina K has some uber awesome stamps just for this. And if you go (go now, I will wait) and check out her stuff I know you will fall in love just as I have.

Hows your weekend yaall? Are you enjoying the summer?? I am slowly on the mend and becoming myself again. My tongue has this incredibly bad habit of having to fiddle with my stitches in my mouth nonstop. The pain is still there, but nothing too darastic. Nothing other than this playtoy that my tongue keeps tethering with. DRIVING ME NUTS! So if you see me escape with a tiny pair of scissors towards a well lit mirror, pay no attention -- its just me ripping out the stitches that are sposed to stay in for 2+ weeks. ~sigh~ Its gonna be a LOOOOONG 2 weeks.

Birthday Pics

Hey guys. Nearly forgot to post pics of the latest Birthday. Its tradition in our house that you get woke up with cake in bed on your Birthday. But its kind of hard when the Birthday person wakes up before you. Heather was waiting patiently downstairs for her Birthday embarrassment when I got up. It was 7am--so she cant blame me for sleeping in! I told her shed have to wait cause I hadnt even DECORATED the cake yet. This is when she inquired if she could decorate her own cake. OF COURSE! Less stress on me, she gets what she wants and I can sit down and try to find my brain in my morning grogginess.

I teased her for most of the day...telling her that shes a half of a box of candles. *LOL* Sounds like an insult. Truly it is just fact tho! :)


For lunch we met up with Paw Paw at the Japanese Buffet. It was fabulous! Heather ate herself silly on shrimp.

And of course---what is a Birthday without a CUPCAKE....AND singing. Yes, it truly is my goal to mortify my 12 year old to the fullest. MOM--I cant believe you SANG in there! MOM!!

I am fascinated by this stamp. I dont know why. Anyways. I was inspired for the background, by AMY over at Heartfelt Greetings. Hers turned out way better, but since my Distressed Ink collection is not real big, I thought I did ok.

Isnt it amazing?

Isnt it simply amazing that so many things in life go unnoticed? This picture is of my side yard. The sun is just getting a good start on its day and already the trees are casting shadows. The grass probly needs a little trim--but over all its a beautiful sanctuary to see. Its quiet with only an occasional passerby on that road. If you were to drive by you might wave to us as we sit on our deck. Its quiet right now. But soon it will be full of a tweenagers music and a five year olds laughter. Soon there will be lawnmowers being started and soon the day will be in full swing. I know that you all can relate to this. Everything SEEMS normal. Well, okay theres those bills that must be paid, theres the unreasonable cost of gas, the illnesses and all the bad stuff that seems to be oozing out of the mouths of every newscaster on tv. The bad in life is screamed at us from the roof tops every where.

I ask you though...stop and look for the beauty in your own lives. Youd be surprised that its RIGHT THERE within your own lens.

Last week we had an uber awesome time last week with Anna at class! How cool are these cards. It was all about brads. It was sooo fun!!

Oh shall I sing a song of Praise??

Remember that uber awesome place called CITIES CUPCAKE BOUTIQUE that I told you about a few weeks ago??? GUESS WHAT?!?! She is going to carry my cards! Can you believe that?!?! I am soooo excited I cant hardly stand it! You can barely keep my feet on the ground. I have surely been floating on a sea of icing since I talked to her yesterday!!!! Theres already an uber awesomely talented girl that has her cards there and I wouldnt dream of pushing her out, so my mind is a spinning trying to create different ways to market to that crowd rather than just the greeting cards. (which I LOVE).

This is an idea I pundted to her this afternoon. Not sure what we will come with in the end result. But what do you think???

This is called a Birthday in a Bag. The kit would contain: a cupcake box, a candle, a balloon, a party blower, a party hat, a sucker, a gift tag and a badge that says ITS MY BIRTHDAY!

I am just uber excited! And of course if you love it...then you can probly expect to see it (or maybe a version of it) at CCB!!!!

Asian...Asian...Asian!!! It seems to have taken over our whole life. We seek it everywhere! I looove this little card!

YUMM-O!

*In my bestest Rachel Ray voice* YUMM-O! This has to be the sweetest post ever!! Yesterday we went berry picking! We got a ton of Blueberries and 4 pints of Blackberries. The Blueberries went straight to the freezer. They will taste sooo fantastic in muffins, pancakes, cobblers, yadda yadda yadda. And I -- for the first time ever--- made Blackberry Jam. I had one of the jars not seal correctly so I got to Open it and sample it. I cant help it that it took at least 4 whopping spoon fulls for me to get the taste. It is sooooo good and I am sooo uber proud! The berries were in perfect condition and the girls really had a good time. It was the funniest thing, as Heather brought me her bucket of Blueberries. It was T-Tiny. I asked her where her berries were, to which she replied: Ive been eatin! Hmmm...I wonder if they charge you for how many you can stuff into your belly?? I did pay the little man just a little extra to cover our munchies.

It was a perfect day!

But on to a much much more perfect day!! Its Heathers Birthday! 12 years old officially! We are up and running! I hope to share more pics later this afternoon!

A full day of relaxation does the family good!!

We got home last night from EAST East Tennessee. The girls both are now home from camp, of course with rave reviews!! I had a great time visiting with my Sister in law aka bestest friend. She is expecting her 4th baby any day now...so it was good to just HANG with her.


Heather of course (without a doubt) LOOOVES her new room! Her exact words...Oh my gosh, what have you done to my room?? I love it! But what have you done to my room??



Dont you love this little windchime? I thought it was gorgeous. It symbolizes ENERGY.

The stencils I used say PEACE, LOVE & HAPPINESS. She waaay loved that part!

I had to take a few pictures of course, cause the chances of it being this clean ever again are slim to none!

When I saw this comforter I KNEW it was the one. Like I said before, so not my style. But she absolutely adores it and thought it was perfect. Thats all that matters huh?

WOW! Mom, you did this for me??? I love it! Thank you!!

Today is a grand and glorious day! R is up north, so its just us girls and we are enjoying EVERY single minute of relaxation. I have gotten to play with stamps today, and Hannah and Heather have also both played. It truly has been needed for a long time coming. We all feel like we MIGHT be able to conquer the world tomorrow and the rest of the week.

Too pooped to post prize!

Hey guys. I will announce the winner....(in a minute). But just so ya all know this is sooo not how I had planned to make this announcement. My day has T-Totally gotten away from me. And since I have to be up and on the road no later than 7 am....my tailfeathers are just gonna give up for the night.

But on a lighter and happier note! The room is PAINTED!!! It is STENCILED! The bed has been made and everything has been arranged. I love it. Hannah loves it. And Daddy loves it. Now lets pray that HEATHER loves it.

I cant post pics yet. I seriously DOUBT that Heather will get online before she gets home to see it, but just in case she DOES...I want to reserve some of her surprise.

I wish I could have caught her sooner because she was covered. She got most of it off already. But dontchya like the racing stripe effect she has going for her?? NO, in case you are wondering, I did NOT push her or convince her to rub up against the wall. The darling sweet pea did that all on her own! Since she also couldnt share the blame with anyone she spent the next hour under neath the bed in complete humiliation!!!

So folks, here it is...proof YOU can repaint things in your life if you so want to! Twinkle obviously didnt like her boring gray color.

I am painting a brand new world today!!

OKAY, maybe not the WHOLE world. More like just Heather's room. Since she is at camp this week I am redecorating her room! Its her Birthday surprise. She has NO IDEA!! Especially since I went on and on and on about how I was NOT going to allow dragons and ninjas and black and red and blah blah blah in there. Well, being the uber cool mom that I am. I did find her a fabulous bedspread that is nice. It DOES have a dragon on it and it IS red and black but I think I will be able to handle walking past the room without wanting to throw up.


This was the last room renovation that we did for her. It started getting real frustrating when the cats were eating the grass bed skirt. Then when we got Heather a bigger bed the hut had to be altered and well, it just was never the same. So we took it all down. Now the room is kind of just blah. No spunk. No fire. So renovation #2 is on its way!

So we (being Hannah & I) are off to paint the room a nice TOMATO red! Wish us luck! And dont forget BLOG CANDY is ending tomorrow afternoon!

I leave you with this note tho. How often do we wish that we COULD just repaint our whole world? Paint the sky to whatever season we wanted. Bring rain to the grounds that are so dry, and sunshine to those that are so wet. How often do we wish we could take off a few inches from our backside, or maybe make our teeth a little whiter. Maybe its a partner that we wish we could draw to stand beside us...a child an animal or whatever. Remember you DO have the power to paint your world differently. No, you cant change the color of the sky with a simple stroke of paint, but you CAN pray and you can live your life with faith and obedience that God WILL supply your needs. Remember to ask. To seek Him and your every need will be met in a way that not even YOU could have imagined! So go out...paint YOUR world new today!--be blessed! B
