A break from fall

Life has been nutzoid lately. Havent had time to color, to glue, to paste...to nothing. Let alone get pictures. But I do love you all! Hope you are well.

This time of year...

Hi peeps! Geesh...is it dark and dreary out there or what?? It has been raining all week!!! I bet we are going to have some unbelievable colors this year once it dries up enough to change.

I sure hope that your day is sun-shiney no matter WHAT the weather is outside.

Happy Birthday Ryan!

Today is our nephew Ryan's Birthday. And what DOES one get a 17 year old?? So I took the idea from my friend Marilyn for this Birthday cake made out of candy. Isnt it fun?? I talked to Meri and she said that he of course had already dismantled it. So fun!

Its raining buckets this morning. Good day to be in the bed. But thank you Jesus! I gots me a job!!

Girlses

I thought today'd be a good day to post my girlsies. My dear friend Vee sent me these images. Arent they just precious?? They are giving me lots to work with with my colored pencils too. Sooooo sweet. They make me miss my babies all the more.


I have really enjoyed the challenge to take non traditionally fall colored images and make them into fall pics. Like both of these stamped images are probly more spring time than fall, but isnt it amazing how just a change in coloring can change the whole feel of them?



This week is definitely fall. Its crisp. Its dark and gloomy. Makes me want to curl up, snuggle into my
couch with my family and maybe watch some movies.

Speaking of movies. I made Heather watch Mommie Dearest this past weekend. Yeah, I know its an old movie and probably torture for most teens, but I also think its a classic that MUST be
viewed at least once in your life time. We have laughed more over wire hangars than anything. Oh how I love my girls. I love their love and the relationship that we have. Did I mention that I miss them?

I have been digging in my image stash this week. So its been fun to pull out some of the stuff that I have had hidden away. This little baby girl of course is generally blowing hearts off her hands, but I wanted her to be fallish so I overlapped some leaves. Its all glittery too, but ya cant tell that with this pic.


Its a rainy dreary day here in Knoxville. Dark enough to be 9pm. Thankfully I am here drenched in the lights so I cant get too sad today. Wonder...will I be able to stretch thru this season without falling into my dark corner of SAD. Hmmm...

I sooo love this little image dont you??? I colored this with pencils as well. I am not real excited with the depth that it gave me. But I am getting back into the groove of using them and cant wait to get me some OMS.

Its a quiet day here. Getting ready for church. R and I went out last night...had a good time and it was good to be around people other than the kids. But whew, I am such a whimp....stayed up way past my bed time.

Its Fall

My babies are at the beach with Grammee and PawPaw, darling husband is at work and I have been left all alone with my ink! Is this not the greatest thing ever?? Especially since my stamps were truly starting to feel neglected. *gasp*


I dont know what attracts me to this little punkin...but I really really like it. Its just so simple. Not cutesy, not primative...just a plain punkin. I like it. So anyways...this week I broke out my colored pencils. I wanted to have something that I could cart with me to work. We dont get MUCH time that we are twiddling our thumbs, but the little time we do get I want to be able to do something creative. But golly I didnt know it had been that long since I had used them. Geesh, learning how to make them do what I want has been an experience. I mean...cmon! They are PENCILS! I have been using them since what...I was 10 er 11???

The kids will be down at Tybee Island GA for the week. I miss em already. Its so quiet. Them being gone has certainly reminded me of what I am living for. Without them-- well my life is pretty meaningless. I mean, I get up when I want, go to bed when I want, eat what I want, when I want...watch what I want on TV...do what I want. Which has rudely reminded me that I dont think thats what I want at all. :D Hehehee.

R and I are going out tonight so I am sure that I will forget about it for a few hours.

Can you believe that it is already well into the 2nd week of October? Geesh...the time is just a flying!! Things are good here just going with the flow of this and that. We thought we had a bite on our house last week but once again the buyers went a different direction. It is so hard not to get discouraged and give up hope. But we are still plugging along.

The girls are busy with their stuff, and we spend a lot of time shuffling them around. I am sooo thankful for the friends that we have that have really helped us as both R and I work. Its good to be loved.

Anyways. I looove stamping for fall too! Isnt this image just so cute? I hope YOU have a happy day!!

PS. I have a couple of prayer requests...one is for my friend "granny" as she prepares for hip surgery...shes had to endure a lot of hurdles to even prepare for this surgery. Pray that the Lord just works everything out. And also continue to pray for Joe. He had a scare this weekend, where his heart stopped...he has been reventilated and is stable now, but everyone of course is scared to death.
