Good Morning!!!  Life is good isn't it?  I just wanted to check in with you all and see how everyone was.  As you know, Im back to work so my chances of getting on here throughout the week is limited.  I can prepost the photos of cards but its hard to make them personal when I hardly know what I am doing today, let alone in a few days.

Anyways.  An update.  My job is amazing.  I really really like it!  It is very much the same as what I am used to, but in so many ways different too.  I am soooo ready to be past this part.  I hate the training and the learning.  I am ready to just know it and be able to roll.  But I know...it will take time.  But I really really like my team and I think we will all do amazing once I get my mojo conquered.

Going back to work has been a little stressful on things here at home too.  I am exhausted in trying to get back into the groove of everything.  Plus Heather has been going in every direction.  BUT I know that that will all pass too and we will find our way.

We are still looking for a church.  :(  That part is a little discouraging.  Geesh, didnt know it was so hard to find a place that we all feel led to worship.  Again...Im excited to find a church home too.

I do hope that each of you are well and are finding your mojo to be creative.

Thinking of you

If you havent noticed I have been trying to do more different things on my cards.  I made a list of different embellishments and different techniques that I have or that I know how to do.  So often we get into a rut and use the same things, the same styles and the same everything.  Since I am already in a challenge to use all of my stamps once, I thought it would also be cool to use each embellishment. 

 

Thankful

I have had this stamp for several years and I still have not tired of it.  It is so easy and so pretty.  I glittered the leaves and then added Crystal Effects to the little berries.

Heyyyyy friends.  I promise to update you on my new job just as soon as I come up for air.  But I wanted you to know that I am still out here.  Still stamping every minute I get a chance.  I have stamped about 150 images that I am busy making into creations.  Still trying to convert over to my new system.  I REALLY like it.  But its going slow!  Anyways...I stamped this image on white and cut it out.  The balloon and the little cart are tied to the animals with thread.  Its all popdotted so its raised.

 

 

The inside is cute too!

Flower

Just a simple little flower.  The photo doesnt show it but I did use the glitter pen on the stem.

Violets

Someone sent me a card using this stamp many years ago.  Using this layout in fact.  I loved it so much that it actually became a part of my brain.  Ha!  Not like there is room for the stuff I REALLY need...you know like dont forget to take the movies back or get milk or iron Ronnies shirts...

 

 

I looove the simplicity of this stamp.

9-11

First, I think it would be awful if I didn't acknowledge that today is 9/11 and of course a day to remember.  I still strongly believe that America is the greatest country ever. 

 

 

I have two of these stamps.  These little African dancers and I love them both!  I dont know why cause really they are not my style.  But something always makes me smile when I see them.

Wanta be bad?

Do you ever have days where you just want to be bad? Not like rob a bank or anything crazy like that.  But just want to rebel in some way?  I am TOTALLY having one of those days.  We have been dieting and its like I wanta go raid the cupboards.   Pour me a big bowl of cheese puffs and cover em in carmel sauce.  Sit down in front of the TV and engulf myself in some sappy Lifetime Movie.

 

Thankfully....carmel and cheese puffs does not sound appetizing and I dont even know what channel Lifetime is. 

 

I have already been to the doc this morning, had to get a refill on my meds and get ready for my new job.  I guess tomorrow I will finish up with my errands and enjoy my last free day. 

 

Anyways.  So heres a card I did.  My inside oval is a bit whacked but...you get the point.  :) 

 

 

I pop dotted the inside so that it stood up taller than the frame.

Hi Friends!  I just KNOW you have totally been missing me!  I have been getting inky but I havent had much a chance to get stuff posted online.  I have been working on my stamp collection and getting them converted to my new system.  Thats slow going cause I want to be sure and use every stamp that I am keeping.  So not only do I stamp the new pocket sleeve but I gotta be creative too.  I really like it though because I am seeing stamps I havent seen in years.  I am also getting rid of a lot that have just been taking up space.

 

So the kids are FINALLY settled into school.  They both have their laptops, they are in the correct classes and FINALLY it feels like things have settled down.  So with that being said I promised Id get a job as soon as they were settled.  I promised Id get back to work after the Labor Day Holiday.

 

But what happened after that...is freaking amazing.  I keep ranting about it because it is totally --I mean TOTALLY a God thing!!  I first want to tell you that I am happy to announce that after 4 days of submitting resumes and applications I have a job!  Yes...a God thing.  I know that it is completely heaven sent when so many people wait months and even years for the opportunity.

Sandra is one of the area's top agents and her team is one of the top teams.  I am really excited to be a part of a winning team once again.  She also owns the whole company-- again...I like that.

 

But thats not the best part.  I totally had to make a time line to show you exactly how GODS TIMING was in this from the very beginning.  Before I even knew it. 

 

God had started preparing me for this a looooong time ago.  My last job was amazing.  Though it was hard at times and my boss molded me and taught me to deal with adversity and be the very best I could be.  She is the top agent for a reason and I am grateful for her.  Sandra is very much like Donnita and I think that I will be able to handle her very easily because I have been around Donnita already.  Both are hard driven.  I like that.

 

So anyways...with all of this said and me throwing you a line down from my CLOUD 9 that I am perched upon...I can honestly say life is good.  I mean life is always good.  But lets face it...my last few years have life have been a bit not so fabulous.  We gave up our dream home.  We moved to podunkville (which I love, mind you)...we were living off the system (which praise God it was there for us)....all four of us were in major depression mode...our walls were falling in around us and we were suffocating.  To now....we have a beautiful apartment, that...tho we rent, we LOVE.  We are all working on our health by exercise and eating better.  Our moods are so much more level.  Our family time is peaceful and enjoyable.  Financially we are getting better and better.  But without every single experience...this day would not be half as amazing.  God is sooo good.

But enough about that!  You wanta see something inky dont you?

These awesome little cards are another part of the CHEAP binge I am on.  Got this package of blank white hole cards and envelopes for 99 cents at Walmart.  A little ink and a some glitter and some line dots.

 

Or there is this one where I added some chipboard and sequins.

Or some color?  With bling!?

Yes. I used the paper again.  Some might call it cheating.  But the images are so pretty that I couldnt just cover them up!

Do you remember back in the first of the week I told you about the decorative paper I was using?  THIS is another instance where I only stamped the sentiment.  The flowers were aleady in the corner of the paper.  I figured Id let it do the work and it was a card that slapped together in NO time!

I totally CASED this one off of Pinterest.  I dont know why it tickled my fancy.  But I love the color and the simplicity.

 

 

So my inlaws came in to eat fish with us.  We are sooo excited that Ronnie has been fishing and catching some monster bass.  They tasted massively good.  Like SINFUL!

 

We have looooved having them here too.

HAPPY FALL Y'ALL!!

 

Growing up I always HATED fall, because where I lived there was never very much of it.  Yes, I DID grow up in one of the most magical areas of our country...and yes I feel truly blessed.  BUT face it...we had snow...snow...and MORE snow.  Fall usually lasted about 10 minutes in a good year.  Ok, maybe a little bit longer than that, but not much.  You could literally see Old Man Winter decending down the mountain into our valley.  Each passing day the snow line on the mountains would get lower and lower.  Out West there are Pine trees with a spash of Aspen thrown in.  Rarely will you see any of the amazing changing color trees, nothing compared to the stuff that calendars are made of.  Again, might I say---it had its own beauty.  I am not knockin it!

But since I married and moved to the south I have been blessed with green!  And when the fall comes, so does all of the colors.  We dont really get much of a winter here so I know the cooler temps and the colors are gonna stick around for a couple of months. 

I love decorating for fall!  I love the pumkins and the scarecrows.  I love going to pumpkin patches and corn mazes and everything there is to do with this time of year.

Im super excited today because my inlaws are coming in to help us celebrate the final weekend of summer.  Pool time, fish fry and just enjoying summer.  But come next week I will be ready to pull out the punkins....would like to say sweaters too---but cmon people I live in the South!  Sweaters arent needed until February (maybe).

PS...for those of you who dont know, I grew up in Jackson, WY.  Yes, that IS the same thing as Jackson Hole.  The view out my door WAS the Grand Tetons.

CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP Part 2

This is another set of those cards that I got in the clearance isle.  The bling bling swirly dohicky thing was also in clearance.  Its a package of borders but I was able to reconfigure it a bit and make it look like one of the expensive swirls.  A whole package of them for just $.99  -- yes another great score!
