Puff Paint!

These stickers look just like puff paint!  Arent they the coolest thing ever??  They of course match my Citrus just perfectly too.

I am trying to summon the sunshine back to stay with us too.  If I keep talking about it maybe it will make its presence for good???

Mojo is in overdrive!!

I am sooo excited!  Since my darling daughter "couldnt sleep" and felt the need to come in my room every 15 minutes I have been up since 5am.  But I have been whipping out cards left and right too!  Laundry is going.  And I am ready to tackle my to do list today!  The 'rents went to Meri's house today so I am using my time to the best of my ability.  The sun is shining now--its gonna be a great great day!  What are YOU doing today??  Do you have mojo this morning??

SHE'S HERE!!!

Is she not the most beautiful thing ever??  Mirah Jewel Peterson blessed us with her presence yesterday afternoon.  All are doing well.  And she is just absolutely wonderful.  I sooooo can't wait to meet her!  CONGRATULATIONS Robert & Laura!! 

My Sweetheart

I have been coloring mostly with my colored pencils lately, but I am thinking that I am really starting to miss my Copics.  Think I might need to break them out a bit too.  I loove how the pencils make the bears look like they have fur tho.  Thats always fun.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

OK, no its not really Christmas, tho I could have sworn I saw a snowflake earlier.  But it IS the 25th of the month and here is my contribution in getting ready for this year's holiday in advance.  I made a stack of these cards.  Kinda simple.  But I liked em.  Those little rhinestones are from fingernail decorations.  Sooo cute and sooo t-tiny!

We are seeing God move around us in so many ways.  Its really quite exciting!  My sister in law got an offer on her house, the other sister in law is going ot be having her baby any minute and we are doing just great.  Its very exciting.  How about you?  I hope things are moving in your world.

Can you believe that they are saying SNOW again!?!  I think I am gonna go postal before its tulip season.  I mean really---is it ever gonna be nice again?  Last weekend was soooo wonderfully awesome and now here we are back to be cold.  *grumble*  *grumble*

So, its day 7 of the Lent.  How are you all doing?  Did you give up anything?  I am still muddling along.  Facebook good.  Though I am going through serious poker withdrawl.    Its going good.

So I am still trying to brainstorm.  On the 25th of each month my friend Lori and I are doing something to prepare for Christmas.  Hmmm...wonder what "I" should do.  I guess make a card er two huh?  Wanta join in with us and make a few Christmas cards?

How can ya not just love that face?  I mean really...shes sooo sweet!  I havent been shopping for anything new lately.  I am trying so hard to keep the blinders over my eyes so that I am not oohing and ahhing over more adorable stuff.  This is kind of helping me to stay focused on all of the amazingly awesome things I already have.  Like all of these images from Cookie Crumbs.  LOVE THEM!

And for you that have asked.  I am working on getting some new pics of the furbabies.  Twinkle Bella is still doing wonderful.  She still gets to dress in BuildABear stuff at least once a week or so and Punkin AKA BooBit is still the same onery thing she always has been...just a bit larger now.  Cyris is especially loving the 'rents being here cause he all of a sudden thinks he is an "inside" dog.  I am telling you...he is magic!  You tell him no, no, no...cant come in and then magically by the time you get from the door to the kitchen he is sitting nicely on his bed.  WHAT?!?!   Geesh!

Hannah's Valentines...

I have a budding artist!  Well, actually I have 2...but look at the Penguin!!  This was Hannah's Valentine Box this year.  She designed him and made him to collect her little cards from her classmates in.

These were her actual Valentine cards.  Each little worm was sporting a great Valentine pencil and then of course she wrote something special to each person on the belly of them.  These were a lot of fun!

Dang!  Can you believe the time is going by sooo fast?!?!  We are creeping up on Easter and before we know it is gonna be summer.  I know that I keep going on and on about this.  BUT DANG!  I just stand here shell shocked each time I really look at the calendar!

Hey friends, what few I have left, please can you tell me if the layout of my new blog works for you on your computer.  It looks good on my computer if the screen is maximized, but I noticed when I looked at the other computers here its all distorted.  It should be half black and half white.  Not all geometrical.

Thinking Day

I am thinking that TODAY was an awesome day! First and foremost let me THANK JESUS for SUNSHINE! OMG! These last 2 days have been amazing! GORGEOUS! Beautiful sunshine! Even no coat needed tempuratures!!

But on a better note, Hannah had her Girl Scouts THINKING DAY today. Thinking Day is a Girl Scout event that many of the local troops get together and each share something about a country. This year, Hannah's troop chose Ireland and it was a lot of fun. I got to try leeks in the potato soup that we made. They are really good! We got to try ALL sorts of food and it was really a lot of fun. I even tried a fried banana....I am NOT a fan of bananas but oh my gosh those are really really good!!

The bestest part was that Hannah got chosen to say the prayer in the opening ceremony. She did fantastic!! I am sooo proud of her. Even though she was really really nervous, she did really great!!
Our day then got better as we went on to the flea market. We didnt buy much but we had a good time wandering around. LOOOVE DAYS LIKE THIS!!

So much has been happening that I havent had a chance to talk much. First all...please everyone take deep breaths. Having the inlaws AKA 'rents here with us has been wonderful! They are amazing help!! And we are all getting along fabulously (at least I think we are!!!!) I know that the girls are loving the added attention. My house is too.  *hehehehe*

I am trying more and more to get my creative mojo flowing again too.  My dear friend Becky Shake n'bake has been learning to stamp and her excitement gets me all hyped up too.  And the little booger is really really good at it!  Shes a natural!!!  In any case I looove sharing the addiction...er I mean hobby with anyone who will listen!

Work has been going well.  The real estate world is waking up again and the office is getting busier and busier.  It helps the days go by.

Most of you also know that I have been doing a little bit of stuff for Lent.  No, I am not Catholic and I have not converted either, I did want to do a little rearranging in my life.  I have set aside Facebook for 40 days trying to focus a bit more on other stuff.  I miss my peeps there, but whew!  I am finally getting caught up on some other things.  Like getting this blog back into shape, trudging thru 600+ emails and just some much needed time with God.  Its all good.  Will I give it up forever---no of course not!  But the break is going well.  That is one of my commitments that I have not broken at all.  The other is doing better about my diet and my health.  I am working really hard on this part, and tho I am not doing perfectly the change is going well. 

Anyways....I hope you are each doing well too.  ((HUGE HUGS)) to each of you...man I have been missing you!!

I know its after Valentines Day, but I was playing in a Secret Cupid Swap and couldnt post what I was sending my friend before the swap was over.  Afterall, she MIGHT see it!  *GASP*  So here is one of the cards I sent her.  I looove this little guy!  I put Crystal Effects on his nose and on his balloon.  I hope you love him too GEORGIA!!!

Hard to tell but the ribbon is weaved through the corner of the card.  Then I stamped the cherry blossom in really light gray.  Added some bling.  WHALA!!  Simple and sweet.

I got this paper and loooved it.  I wanted to focus more on it than anything else and face it, everyone can always use a THANK YOU card.  So I thought this was cute!  WOOHOO  Arent you all proud of me?  A whole week and I am stil blogging!!

Snow...

Wanted to do something nontraditional with this snowman.  Yeah yeah yeah...he's a Dustin.  (DUSTIN PIKE) in case you fergot.  I loove him!  But I wanted to do something other than Christmas colors or the normal COLD colors.  CUTE CUTE!

I have been carrying these buckles around for ages.  Finally tore em out and used one!  Love it!  Soooo much fun.  I was having a good time this night playing with the different shapes and such.  COOL!

Flutterby!

I just LOOOOOVE this butterfly stamp.  This time I popped the butterflies sparatically about the image.  Those that are popped are covered in Diamond Dust.  Then I added little fingernail gems too.  I had a hard time getting a good photo, but the metal tag at the bottoms says Friendship.  I have to admit, I am sooo glad my Mojo is starting to flow again!

I got this email from a friend today and I found it too good not to pass on.

A 92 year old, petite, well-poised and proud man, who is fully dressed each morning by eight o'clock, with his hair fashionably combed and shaved perfectly, even though he is legally blind, moved to a nursing home today.  His wife of 70 years recently passed away, making the move necessary.  After many hours of waiting patiently in the lobby of the nursing home, he smiled sweetly when told his room was ready.

As he maneuvered his walker to the elevator, I provided a visual descriotion his tiny room, including the eyelet sheets that had been hung on his window. 

"I love it!"  He stated with the enthusiasm of an eight year old, just having been presented with a new puppy. 

"Mr. Jones, you haven't even seen the room, just wait!"

"That doesn't have anything to do with it," he replied.

"Happiness is something you decide on ahead of time.  Whether I like my room or not, doesn't depend on how the furniture is arranged, its how I arrange it in my mind.  I already decided to love it.  It's a decision I make every morning when I wake up.  I have a choice; I can spend the day in bed recounting the difficulty I have with the parts of my body that no longer work, or get out of bed and be thankful for the ones that do.  Each day is a gift and as long as my eyes open, I'll focus on the new day and all the happy memories I have stored away.  Just for this time in my life.  Old age is like a bank account.  You withdraw from what you've put in.  So my advice to you would be to deposit a lot of happiness in the bank account of memories."

I dont know for certain why this struck such a chord with me today, but it did.  How often we get drug down within ourselves....I know for one I take dips in the pity pool often...when that is a choice I make, not one that is forced upon me.  Now, mind you-- everyone has bad days.  Everyone has days that require some pity party soaking.  But there are many days that one just has to DECIDE to be happy and keep on trucking.

My little friend, Janet goes back to the doctor today and I am curious to hear what he says.  She fell and broke her ankle last week and she is to find out if surgery is in the future or not.  I am thinking of you girl and praying for you.  Anyways.  Loooove this Boo Boo dragon.  He is from DUSTIN PIKE -- I KNOW you all have missed him havent you?  Well I have huge news about Dustin too--he signed up with HighHopes to be an artist for them for REAL rubber!  WOOOHOO!  I am soooo excited for my pal!   The inside is a saying that I had already gotten from High Hopes.  It says HEARD YOU WERE A LITTLE DRAGON FEELIN' GREEN AND TAIL NOT WAGGIN'....
